Easy Marketing

An online site for small businesses to expand their networking and tendering opportunities has been set up.

The site aims to helping small and medium sized firms continue to succeed in the difficult economy that is currently causing problems for many businesses.

The Business Network Online (BNO) has taken the best aspects of other business-orientated networking sites and combined it with tender alerts so that companies can find new contacts in the private or public sector.

Up until now, business websites either offered networking or tendering, but the new BNO site is the first to offer both providing a safe place for people to buy and sell their products and services as well as developing good business contacts quickly.

Unlike the old sites, which some companies complained about because people felt they were aimed at individuals collecting ‘colleagues’, the BNO site aims to provide a practical business tool that tries to open up new markets and generate leads.

Networking is an important part of running a business that often gets forgotten about as people focus on the daily priorities of running a business. But with the current economic problems it is even more important to make sure your business does not become invisible or forget to update your contact book on a regular basis.

Relevant New Contacts

The BNO site lets you have access to contacts across the UK so that you can meet new business partner and suppliers and market your name as well as discussing business-related issues. It also allows companies to go ahead with new opportunities in a cost effective way – tender alerts.

Tender alerts match up business opportunities with the companies registered on the site. If a match occurs between your company and another, you will receive an email or an SMS. Due to the way the website is designed, the other company it recommends you connect with will always be relevant in one way or another to your business.

The BNO site also lets you look at competitive pricing and reduce the procurement costs by allowing you to source suppliers, providing a trusted network.

“All businesses are having to look for new ways to drive sales during these difficult economic times and we believe this tool will help in so many ways,” the managing director for the British Chambers of Commerce explained.

“It’s a simple and effective way to meet new business partners and suppliers, reach new markets and customers, win new business through tender alerts and gain more competitive pricing. It’s fast and easy to use as well as being safe and secure as it’s operated through the Chamber community, which is a trusted environment.”
