Federation of Small Businesses says Government has to do more

It’s just not working…
The Federation of Small Businesses has hit out at the Government’s response to the economic crisis by saying that they view the measures that have been taken as a failure.
Through the economic downturn the Government has fallen back on their interest rate blanket as well as provided funding for firms around the country in an attempt to stimulate the economy back to its former glory.

As the news filters around the country that the interest rates are at historic lows, the Royal Bank of Scotland has announced that they are preparing to begin a £3 billion fund aimed at small and medium sized business lending.

Beer sales drop by 2 million pints a day

Small businesses in the pub sector will be feeling even more pressure today as figures released from the British Beer and Pub Association have shown that two million fewer pints of beer are being sold everyday in the pubs in the country, compared to figures recorded a year ago.

FSB help-line endures 214 per cent increase from small businesses

The Federation of Small Businesses has released figures showing how calls to their small business hotline have risen by a staggering 214 per cent a the country plunges further into a recession and more small businesses are being forced out of business.
